Works Department – Smart Village Scheme

Formerly the Environmentally Balanced Prosperous Village Scheme. As per GR dated 21 November 2016, one eligible Gram Panchayat per taluka is awarded ₹10 lakhs based on criteria like sanitation, governance, accountability, renewable energy, and environment. Selection is made by a Taluka-level committee and finalized at the district level.
